The throttle cable transmits the rider’s grip input to the carburetor or throttle body butterfly valve. It consists of an inner stranded steel wire sliding within a lubricated outer casing, with adjustment capability at both ends for precise free-play tuning.

Installation guidance: Route along the factory cable guide path, securing with the original clips. Connect the barrel end to the throttle grip cam and the barrel end to the throttle linkage. Adjust upper ferrule to achieve 2-3mm free play at the grip. Lubricate during installation.
Replace when the throttle feels notchy, when the cable shows fraying or kinking, or when adjustment is at its limit and free play cannot be properly set. Recommended every 20,000 km as preventive maintenance.
